Garden Wedding at the Hilton Park Lane

 

The Inspiration - Midnight Overgrown Garden


Our inspiration for the wedding was an overgrown garden, set at midnight. You may remember some of the images we posted after New Year that we took at Dartmoor House and the beautiful outdoor scenery. The gardens were covered with tree roots, ivy and moss.......perfect to get our idea's flowing.

The Look -

The Inspiration - Spring Flowers

The arrival of spring brings with it the most lovelist of flowers and frangrances, blooming in bright, beautiful colours

Word on the street is that the Hummingbird Bakery is soon to be opening a new store on Islington High Street ♥

Currently our shop window is displaying some of lovely Peggy Porschen's wedding cakes....with looks and tastes to die for!

It's such a shame that Magnolia Bakery in NYC only delivers nationwide as I would love one of their cupcake's on the month.....Lemon Coconut.

Bornay, located in Barcelona, Spain is someone we follow because of their beautiful flower displays and their creative outlook on breathtaking arrangements. We especially like their recent work inspired by the contemporary artist Joan Miro, who funnily enough we are also seeking inspiration from for our own wedding.

One of our favourite photographers Catherine Mead recently attended a photography workshop for four days in beautiful Mexico, ran by Jose Villa....

Jose Villa is a fine art photographer, capturing uniquely intimate moments all around the world. He has been published in many magazines including Inside Weddings, Brides Magazine, Modern Bride Martha Stewart Weddings & many more.

Jose not only photographs weddings but also creates wedding films, he is brilliant at seeing the beauty in real life situations. Have a look for yourself.....

The Look - We Love....

We are in love with this beautiful greek goddess look that Valentino was creating on the spring 2012 catwalk. 

Having your hair braided like this for your wedding creates a perfect mix of elegance and high-fashion.

Make sure you create lots of texture and volume to the plait and you could always try adding small flowers or hair accessories between the braids for an added touch of glamour.
